She was a member of the Dexter United Methodist Church for 40 years. Nancy loved working as a nurse in geriatrics which she did for over 30 years. She enjoyed embroidery, camping, traveling, gardening, flowers, canning, her dogs Mei-Li and Oberon, and spending time with her daughters and family.
Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca D. (Richard E.) Ferrett and Melisa (Paul) Smith, and her brother-in-law Randal Merrow. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, L. Curtis Haynes; her parents, Leslie George Taylor and Henrietta “Retta” Brockman; and her sister, Sue Merrow.
A Funeral Service was held on Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Dexter United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Snyder officiating.
