Mrs. Peggy Cole Rodgers, age 79, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away November 9, 2017.
She was born on January 13, 1938 in Bowdon, GA to the late Ralph and Bessie Cole.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Allan Rodgers; a son-in-law, Albert "Rusty" Medford; a sister and two brothers-in-law, Betina and Guy Garner and Harold Blackmon; and two brothers, Jerry Cole and Kenneth Cole.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Medford, of Lexington Park, MD; her son, Casey Rodgers, of Morro Bay, CA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Pat Blackmon, of Tallapoosa and Wanda and Owen Davidson, of Douglasville; three grandchildren, Chris and Heidi Medford, Ashley Medford, and Brandon Medford; and two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Chase.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Providence Baptist Church at 2:00PM with Rev. Curtis Pixler officiating. Music will be provided by Brant Howell.
Pallbearers serving will be Casey Rodgers, Lieutenant Commander Christopher Medford, Brandon Medford, Jason Blackmon, John Medford, and Joshua Medford.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday starting at 12:00PM until the funeral hour.
