Geneva Carlene (Hackert) Clark, 63, of Macon, Illinois, went home to the streets of gold on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Geneva was born on October 18, 1954 in Decatur, the daughter of Edward “Hap” Hackert and Sarah “Jewell” (Stone) Hackert. Geneva married Alan L. Clark on January 4, 1973 and they renewed their vows on January 3, 2015.

She was a cook at the Blue Mound Grade School, Imboden Creek Nursing Home and cooked for 14 years for the Macon High School football team on Friday nights. Geneva was a member of the Moundford Free Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post 72 and Macon Change Relay for Life.

Geneva is survived by her husband: Alan L. Clark of Macon; children, Edward (Misty) Clark of Decatur, Brandon (Amanda) Clark of Boody and Chastidy “Renee” Askew and her partner Kaylin Wikoff of Decatur; brothers, Chuck Hackert and Jeff Hackert both of Macon; sister, Barbara “Cookie” (Arthur) Ater of Macon; one granddaughter; one grandson and one great grandson; Our Wisconsin family and very best friend, Connie Richards and family; very close friends, Dave, Becky, Hannah and Sydney Mahaffey and church family at Moundford Free Methodist.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dee Lane Hackert.
