Jamie Thomas Potter II, 17, of Evarts passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at his home. Born October 5, 2000 in Harlan County, he was a junior at the Harlan County High School where he loved playing football. He also enjoyed weight lifting and attended the Verda First Baptist Church.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Brooke Fox and Jamie Potter; and his grandmothers, Judy Fox and Shelia Potter.

Survivors include his grandparents, Jim and Cheryl Fox, Evarts; three sisters, Taylor Chappell and husband, Derrick, Harlan; McKenzie Potter, Evarts; and Jade Dollarhide, Kings Creek, KY; a brother, Zack Potter, Evarts; a nephew, Cameron Chappell; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday and Sunday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Monday, November 13, 2017, in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with Pastor Danny McCreary and Preacher T.J. Brewer officiating.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery. Gabe Mabelitini, Trenton Smith, Evan Aslinger, Luke Holbrook, John Cloud, Jacob Fox, Brendon Osborne, Ethan Anderson and Christian Jones will serve as pallbearers.
