GALION: JOHN F. EWING, 83, of Galion passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Signature HealthCARE of Galion.

Born July 12, 1934 in Boggsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clyde R. and Neva D. (Frazier) Ewing. He married Twila D. (Anthony) Ewing on December 17, 1960 and she preceded him on March 3, 2015.

He was a graduate of Ford City, Pennsylvania High School in 1953 and proudly served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1963. John was a member of Galion American Legion 243, Crestline Fraternal Order of Eagles, Galion Moose Lodge 303 and a life member of Galion AMVETS 1979. He retired in 1993 with over 30 years of service as an inventory checker from Mansfield General Motors.

He is survived by son George C. Ewing of Crestline; brothers Ronald Ewing of Galion and James Ewing of Ford Cliff, Pennsylvania and sister Marilyn Clark of Ford Cliff, Pennsylvania.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Crestline. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
