Helen Louise Madsen August 30, 1924 - September 30, 2017 passed away at the age of 93 in the loving care of Paradise Park Family Adult Home in Marysville, WA.

Helen was born in Mountainair, New Mexico, and moved to Vashon Island at an early age. The family later moved to Seattle where she graduated from Ballard High School in 1942. Helen married Harold in 1946. They raised three children and were married for 56 years before his death in 2003.

Helen worked as a bookkeeper for 30 years in the freight business. She loved to travel to Hawaii, and also had many wonderful trips with her sisters. She loved to play cards and bingo, and also had fun visiting casinos. She was a member of the Orthopedic Guild of the Seattle Children's Hospital for over 50 years. She also enjoyed volunteering at the senior center in Marysville, WA.

Helen is survived by her daughters Betty (Tom) and Jan (Gary), two granddaughters, and a close-knit extended family, She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, son Jim, sisters Georgia and Betty, brothers Chuck and Harry.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Those who wish to make a contribution in her honor, please send donations to Seattle Children's Hospital.
