Margaret A. Garber
July 29, 1945 - Nov. 8, 2017

Margaret A. Garber, 72, Roaring Spring, died unexpectedly on Wednesday evening at the emergency department at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Lou McCracken and Esther (Berry) Bowmaster.
On Feb. 14, 1964, she married Lewis J. Garber, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1998.
Surviving are four children: David D. Garber of Roaring Spring, Deborah Friend of Houston, Texas, Louann Gregory and husband, Ralph, of Hudson, Fla., and Galen L. Garber of Roaring Spring; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Ida Schy and husband, Stanley, of East Freedom; and two brothers: Martin McCracken of Altoona, and Ralph Bowmaster and wife, Denise, of Duncansville.
Margaret had previously attended Faith Assembly, Roaring Spring, and she had previously taught Sunday school at Hollidaysburg Church of God. She was a former employee at Price’s Poultry.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and playing Candy Crush.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, Pastor Ed Jelliff officiating.
Interment will be in Holsinger Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Margaret’s memory may be given to the family.
