Bessie Marie Eckhoff White, 79, of Moss Point, MS, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 15, 1935 in Jackson County, MS to the late Stanley and Vera Eckhoff.
Marie worked as an assistant teacher for many years in the Moss Point School System, where she not only loved all the children she taught, but also all of her coworkers through the years.
She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Along with her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Robert Harrison; husband, R.B. White; son, Lynn Harrison; and grandson, Clint Harrison.
She is survived by her two sons; daughter; step-son; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one brother; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point/Escatawpa, MS. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in the funeral home chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Dale Thrasher officiating.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Helena. Heritage Funeral Home, locally owned and operated, in Escatawpa/Moss Point, MS is in charge of arrangements.
