Brad Pruitt, age 93, of Lyons, died Sunday, November 5, 2017, in the Carl Vinson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dublin. He was a native of Beaumont, Texas, moving to Miami, Florida in 1935 where he lived most of his life. He lived in Washington, D.C for four years, and moved to Lyons in 1985. He was a general contractor and was the owner of Cook and Pruitt Masonry. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lyons. He was a member of the Miami Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shriners, and as a result of advocacy his lifelong service to Masonry, he was bestowed the 33rd Degree. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Dickerson Pruitt; and his parents, Dempsey Albert Pruitt and Mary Vicary Farrington Pruitt.

Mr. Pruitt is survived by one daughter, Vicki Pruitt Wright and husband Brad of Lyons; one sister, Mary Aline Craft of Lake City, Florida; and two nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at 12 Noon in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Efton Greene officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, morning November 21, 2017 from 11:00 until just prior to the service.
