She was born September 1, 1913 at home in Ely to Slovenian immigrants John and Mary Horvat.
Molly attended school in Ely through Jr. College. She was working at Pipestone Falls Fish Camp while dating Matt Hill who worked at Peterson's Fish Camp on Basswood Lake. Matt was Lutheran and Molly Catholic so they got married by a Methodist Minister in 1935. They became members of the Ely Methodist Church when they moved from Winton to their newly built Ely home in 1952.
Molly is survived by sons: William (Barbara), and Thomas (Sharon); granddaughters: Linda Hill, and Tracy Hill; sisters: Louise (Allen) Weins, and Rose Leslie; and, brother Albert Horvat.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Matt on May 23, 2002; her baby daughter; brothers Rudolph and Joseph; and, sisters Margaret O'Connor and Mitzi Stephenson.
