Ben was 75 years old when he passed away on November 9, 2017 at Stones River Manor in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was born in Rutherford County, Tennessee and has lived there all his life. He was a member of Lacassas Fire Department, Lascassas Church of Christ, Rutherford and Wilson County Farmer's Coop and Farm Bureau. Buddy was a bus driver, Farmer and the owner of Brown and Harris Equipment and Brown's Store. He grew up as an only child in the back of his parent's store. He was educated at Lascassas Elementary and High School. He was active in Future Farmers of America and thus wanted to be a hog farmer which he was in the early years of his adult life. He married his childhood sweetheart, Linda McCrary. His favorite saying was " what's your hurry?"
