Terry Sanders, 76, of Orangeburg, SC, passed away peacefully at home on November 10, 2017 after an extended illness. Terry was born July 20, 1941, to the late Terrell and Bernice Sanders in Toccoa, Georgia.

He attended Stephens County Schools and graduated in 1965 from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a BS degree in Textiles. Upon graduating from GA Tech, he was employed with Coats & Clark, Inc. in Toccoa and Albany, GA. He worked for Oxford Ind. and for Miller Bros., Inc. as Plant Manager at Bamberg Mfg. Co. in Bamberg, SC for eight years. In 1985, Terry fulfilled a life-long ambition of owning his own business when he purchased Tire Service Co., Inc., in Orangeburg, SC, which his son, Andy, now manages. Terry was a member of First Baptist Church, in Orangeburg, where he served as trustee and was a member of Tom Bell Sunday School Class. He also served as a member of the Orangeburg Optimist Club and the Orangeburg Lions Club. Terry was a Charter Member of the Garden City Antiques Auto Club and enjoyed many antique car trips. More than anything, he loved his immediate and extended family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.

He is survived by his wife: Linda Voyles Sanders, his son and daughter-in-law: Andy and Kelli Sanders, 15 year old grandson: Aiden Sanders; and 13 year old granddaughter: Elaney Sanders; his brother: Bobby Sanders of Helen, GA; and several cousins and their families.

The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 13, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Orangeburg, with the Reverend Ryan Tucker officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home.
