Died in Germany
Nearly 200 persons attended the military burial yesterday in the Casey cemetery of T-5 Donald E. Terrell, 22 of the U. S. Army of occupation in Germany, who died July 26 as a result of injuries sustained the preceding midnight in a fall from a bridge in Heidelberg, Germany, to railroad tracks 50 feet below.
Officiating at the funeral services at 2 p. m. in the Markwell funeral home was the Rev. Hugh Smith, pastor of the Toledo United Brethren circuit, who married the Casey soldier and his wife, Arma, last December. The American Legion conducted the burial.
Cpl. Terrell's remains arrived by train in Casey Wednesday noon. The body was brought from the New York Port of Embarkation by army personnel upon its arrival from Germany.
Surviving besides the widow, are his mother, Mrs. Elsie Terrell of Casey; two brothers, Albert and Edwin of Casey, and a half-brother, Audley Terrell of Westfield, also a half-sister Oda of Chicago. His father, William C. Terrell was fatally injured in an oil drilling rig July 18, 1945.
Cpl. Terrell reenlisted for an additional year of service in the army last Nov. 9 in Neurenburg, after having served three and a half years. 17 months were overseas as a baker with the 116th General hospital unit. He was married to Arma O'Dell, Dec. 27, while home on a 90-day furlough.
