Carolyn L. Gillespie, 47, a 21 year resident of Montgomery passed away March 13, 2007. She was a dedicated servant of the Lord with a great outlook on life, she enjoyed working with the elderly and children absolutely loved her. She was a pre-school teacher's aide for St. Luke's Pre-School, a volunteer at Tillers Nursing Home, a former member of the Boulder Hill Antique Club and she also worked at Bethesda. Her passion in life was to help others. Her hobbies included Music and doll collecting.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Gillespie; her children, Thomas Jr. (Hillary) and Janelle Gillespie; grandchildren, Abagail and Thomas III; her parents, Roger and Elayne Brach; and brother's, Roger Brach, Kenneth (Rhonda) Brach, and Craig (Kaye) Brach. She is the sister-in-law to Ken (Chris) Gillespie, Mary (Jack) Huss, Richard (Terry) Gillespie, and Diane (Don) Poland; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Nolan; and her grandmother, Lucille Brach. Family will be receiving guests on Friday March 16, 2007 from 4-8 pm at Dieterele Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL. Funeral on Saturday February 17, 2007 at 10 am at Neighborhood Church of the Brethren, 155 Boulder Hill Pass, Montgomery, IL with an interment following at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation 120 Wall Street 19th Floor New York, NY 10005.
