Christine L. Watson, 88, passed away in Dripping Springs, Texas on November 9, 2017. Christine was born on July 1, 1929 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Maudie Adaline Bradford Griffin and John Wesley Griffin.
Christine married Stacy Gathings Watson on December 19, 1953 in Denver,
Colorado. Christine and Stacy were the owners of Watson Jewelers in Alpine, Texas. Christine was the mother of three boys, David Wayland Watson, Wayne Allan Watson and Roger Dale Watson. She was a homemaker and
helped in the jewelry store. She was a long time member of the Alpine Church of Christ and more recently attended the Dripping Springs Church of Christ.
Christine was predeceased by her husband, Stacy, her sisters Gladys B. Schwartz and Gloria Jane Brewer and her brother Lesley Boyd Griffin. She is survived by her sisters Norma Sparkman and Karen Beauchamp and her brothers Floyd Griffin, Ronald Lee Griffin and John W. Griffin, Jr. Christine was a loving grandmother to Lindsey Mahlia Watson, Luke Aaron Watson, Micah Paul Watson and Griffin Blair Watson. Her family would like to thank the staff of Hill Country Care in Dripping Springs, Texas and Blue Bonnet Palliative Care in Wimberley, Texas for the loving care provided to Christine.
