He was the husband of the late Beverly A. (Blackstone) Lacey, who died in 2014. He was born in Philadelphia Oct. 31, 1934, to the late James J. Lacey Sr. and Mary I. (Volk) Lacey.
James served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during peacetime. He owned and operated JL Auto Body, Colmar for over 60 years. He was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Ottsville, and Knights of Columbus-Stommel Council 4545.
He is survived by his children, Donna M. Lacey-Derstine (R. Andrew Derstine) of Harrison, Maine, James J. Lacey III (Deborah A) of Haycock Township, Terri L. Lacey (William Shelton) of St. Louis, Mo.; his siblings, Thomas (Barbara) of Furlong, John G. (Irene) of Lansdale, Ronald (Marsha) of Doylestown; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores Heins.
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4040 Durham Rd, Ottsville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services in Parish Cemetery.
