Myrtle Elizabeth Mitchell of Willis stepped into eternity with Jesus on Saturday, November 04, 2017 at the Alliance Health Center in Madill at the age of 95 years.

Myrtle was born on October 02, 1922 in Estancia, NM to the late Madison Davis & Gladys McDonald.

Myrtle attended & graduated high school in Estancia, NM and later went on to marry Ray Mitchell who precedes her in death.

Myrtle worked as a waitress for many years. She loved going to the casino, loved to read, & was the best mother in the world.

Myrtle moved to Johnston County in March 2017 after her son, Richard Johnson passed away.

Myrtle leaves behind to forever cherish her memory:

Sons:
Mickey Smith & wife Judith of Las Lunas, NM
Donnie Johnson of Houston, TX

Daughter:
Marty Johnson & boyfriend Ted Gastineau of Ravia, OK

Sister: Cleo Mae Richards of Orlando, FL

Myrtle is also survived by a host of grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

Myrtle was preceded in death by:
Parents: Madison Davis & Gladys McDonald
Husband: Ray Mitchell
Son: Richard Johnson
2 Brothers.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 09 at 3 pm in the Willis Cemetery with Reverend Larry Strouse officiating. Services are being held under the direction of Tishomingo Funeral Home.

*We're so grateful to have known Myrtle. She was a wonderful, caring woman. We always enjoyed visiting with her, and know that losing her will leave a big hole in your hearts. She saw a lot from her corner of the porch, and she cared about each person who crossed the threshold.
