Services for Travis Dwayne Gore, 45, of Athens will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with his Uncle, Doug Evans, officiating. Burial will follow at Arnold Cemetery in Alto under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Gore passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Athens. He was born on July 18, 1972 in Tyler to Claude W. Gore and Cindy Lumley Gore.

Travis was in the US Navy Medical Corp as a Medic. He held the position of Supervisor with the United States Postal Service prior to his death.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Claude Gore Sr. and Mildred Corley, and his maternal grandfather, William Lumley Sr.

Travis is survived by his wife Julie Alana Gore, daughter Catherine Leanne Gore-Mayfield and husband Justin Mayfield; son Cody Cheyene Williamson and wife Brittany; grandson Rhyder Lane Williamson; his parents, Claude and Cindy Gore; sister, Tammy Gore Benton and husband Jake Benton.
Pallbearers will be nephew, Hayden Benton; cousin, Kelby McCoy; son-in-law, Justin Mayfield; best friend, David Deese and son, Drew Deese; and longtime friend, Joe McQuiston.

Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
