James Dale Mott, 68, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2017 at home surrounded by family. James was born on June 11, 1949 to Elmer Lee and Mary Helen Mott in Lake Charles, LA. He left Lake Charles to go to college in Dallas, TX. James spent time in the Air Force and was honorary discharged as a disabled veteran, wounded in combat. He worked for Penske Truck Leasing as a mechanic for a long time. He has lived in the Kaufman area for the last 30 years. James spent a little time fishing and tinkering with things from model airplanes to fixing everything around the house and cars. He was a long time member of the Kaufman Church of Christ. What he loved the most was taking care of his Grand kids. James was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda Susan Mott of Kaufman, TX; daughters: Mindy Burris and husband Kenneth of Forney, TX, Jaime Luther of Kaufman, TX and Sharon Mott of Kaufman, TX; grandchi ldren: Landry Burris, Ryelee Burris, Caydee Luther, Douglass Mott, Damen Latimer; great grandchild Rayden Mott; sister Brenda Leger of Lake Charles, LA; brothers John Mott and wife Shermaine of Lake Charles, LA and Gerald Mott of Lake Charles, LA who will all miss him dearly.
