Carolyn June Dove, 74, of Linville, VA died November 8, 2017 at Life Care Center of New Market.
She was born September 8, 1943 in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late Garland Dewey and Blanche Evelyn Reedy Hess.
Carolyn was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Broadway.
On May 4, 1962 she married Billy Ray Dove, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Debbie Ritchie of Broadway, Jaime Dove of Phoenix, AZ, Kristina Dove of Linville; one son, Desmond Dove of Linville; four sisters, Ava Shell of Weyers Cave, Linda Benz of Linville, Joyce Wittig of Fulks Run, Vickie Sherman of Linville; two brothers, Garland Hess, Jr. of Fulks Run, Keith Hess of Broadway; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
One brother, Dennis Hess, preceded her in death.
Pastor Kevin Gerber will conduct a funeral service 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Linville. The casket will be closed. There will be no viewing or visitation at Grandle Funeral Home.
