US Congressman, Judge. Elected as a Republican to represent Ohio's 2nd District in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1927 to 1929. A native of Cincinnati, he earned a degree from the Cincinnati Law School in 1910, was admitted to the Ohio Bar Association and became a lawyer in his hometown. His first political role was in 1914 as the Assistant City Solicitor of Cincinnati. He was not a candidate in the election following his term in Congress. He was later elected as Judge of the Court of Appeals in the 1st appellate district of Ohio and later as the Ohio State Bar Examiner. He also served as a member of the Ohio State Banking Board, director of the Cincinnati Street Railway Company, and president of the Sullivan Electric Company.
