Theodore E. “Ted” Lee, 86, of Springfield, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Wanda Jean (Craig) Lee who passed away on Jan. 6, 2008. The couple married July 1, 1955, and had 52 happy years together.
Ted was born on Aug. 10, 1931, in Springfield, son of the late Ona and Katie (Leonard) Lee. He was a Troy High School graduate and a lifelong farmer. Ted enjoyed bowling and bowled in the Monday Night League at Terrace Lanes. He also enjoyed hunting and riding in his Jeep.
Ted is survived by his children, Richard Dean (Barbara) Craig, Steve (Annette) Lee, and Penny (Joe) Kenyon; grandchildren, Jon (Summer) Craig, Michael (Brittany) Craig, Kendra (Kip) Seaver, Danielle Congdon, Christopher (Jackie) Lee, Jessica (Emily) Lee, Eric (Greta) Kenyon, Jason Lee; 14 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jean; his sisters and brothers,: Minnie Nenninger, William Lee, Sybil Lee and Louis Lee.
Family and friends are welcome to call from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at the Gerald W. Vickery Jr. Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 1093 W. Main St., Troy, PA 16947. The funeral to honor Ted’s life will be held at the conclusion of the viewing at noon on Monday, Nov. 13 at the funeral with family friend, the Rev. George Ogden, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
