Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday March 26 at the Centerville Baptist Church with Rev. Getz officiating.
Burial was made in the Griffith Cemetery, near Lone Pine, under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Melsia Spears; 3 daughters, Mrs. Gussie Lee Dossaman, of Eioa; Mrs. Ola B. Sadler of St. Landry; Mrs. J. B. Dunbar of Morse Station; 3 sons, A. G. and Marshall Spears of St. Landry; Robert Spears of Beaumont, Tex.; two brothers, Jim Spears of Brusley, La., and Gus Spears of Basile. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
