Glenn Everett Ward age 83, of Nolensville, TN, formerly of Clayton, OH entered heaven on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, where he was reunited with his bride of 58 years, Shelva. He was born on July 29, 1934 in Dehart, KY. Glenn served two years in the U.S. Army at Ft. Carson, CO and Stuttgart, Germany. He was employed at NCR, Elliott Co., and retired from Machine Tool Products in 2000. Glenn was a 60-year Mason. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church for 48 years and attended CrossCountry Cowboy Church in Columbia, TN for the past two years. Glenn was a strong, hard-working, Christian man. He greeted everyone he met with his bright, handsome smile, a sparkle in his eyes, and a firm friendly hand shake. Glenn enjoyed family vacations, hunting, fishing, boating, and working on tractors in his barn. He loved tending his large garden, grape vines, and apple orchard; and he was always quick to share the fruits of his labor with family and friends. More than anything, Glenn loved and provided for his family. Glenn is survived by his daughter Cavil Joan (Richard) Hicks of Nolensville, TN; son Nathan Everett (Wendy) Ward of Bradenton, FL; grandsons Austin (Rachael) Hicks, Tyler Glenn Hicks, Christian Ward, Charlton Ward, Colin Ward, and Chandler Everett Ward; sister Pauline O’Dell; and extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shelva Joan (Bowden) Ward; parents Leonard & Dallas (Hale) Ward; sisters and brothers: Edith Perry, Thurman Ward, Christine Nickell, Ruby Ward, and Carl Ward. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Crestview Baptist Church (6600 Salem Ave.) with his son, Rev. Nathan Ward officiating. Interment will follow the service at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) and on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to CrossCountry Cowboy Church (1939 Lewisburg Pike, Franklin, TN 37064).
