PENNSYLVANIA Roswell E. Brown, age 75, of 144 East Adams Street, Cochranton, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly in his home on October 30, 1981. He was born in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, on July 30, 1906, the son of Herbert and Venice Brown. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Engineering and was a member of the American Society of Engineers. He was also a lifetime member of the E.P.O.E., No. 219, of Meadville, Pennsylvania. He was a retired civil engineer and had worked for S.J. Groves Construction Company for 30 years. He married Evelyn Higgins on May 10, 1934. She preceded him in death in 1945. He later married Pat Edwards on March 1, 1947. Survivors include his wife; Pat of Cochranton, Pennsylvania; two sons, Roswell T. Brown of Evergreen, Colorado, and James Brown of Waterloo, Wisconsin; a stepson, Ron E. Brown of Olathe, Kansas; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the ROOFNER-COLLINS FUNERAL HOME in Meadville, Pennsylvania on Monday, November 1, with the Reverend Guy Butler officiating. Gravesite services will be held at the COTTAGE GROVE CEMETERY at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, with the Reverend Henry Vucher officiating. The HART FUNERAL HOME of Marshall is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation or the Heart Association.
