George Adam Miller was the son of Michael A. Miller (1829-1905) and Eliza A. Burke Miller (1836-1870), who married 22 Jan 1854 at Davidson County, North Carolina and had six known children. After Eliza died, George remarried to Mary Ann Nifong (1843-1883) on 16 Apr 1871 at Davidson County, North Carolina and they had four known children together. After Mary died, Michael remarried to Mary's younger sister, Rosina (went by Rosa) Emiline Nifong (1850-1914) on 09 Dec 1883 at Davidson County, North Carolina and they had two known children.

George married Sarah Eliza Jane Thomas (1859-1924) on 21 Mar 1878 at Forsyth County, North Carolina. George and Eliza were the parents of nine known children, namely:

1. James Miller (1878-1878)
2. May Araminta Miller (1880-1881)
3. Rosa Virginia Miller Hunter (1882-1917)
4. Sarah Elenora Miller (1884-1885)
5. Samuel Albert Miller (1888-1924)
6. Bertha Euzelia Miller Jones (1891-1967)
7. Guy Michael Miller (1894-1899)
8. Ollie Estelle Miller Everhart (1898-1977)
