Ethel M. Cook, 80, of Cyclone, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV following complications from a broken hip.

She was born on January 10, 1937 in Cyclone, WV a daughter of the late Wilson H. Toler (1894-1968) and Adora Toler-Toler (1894-1984). Ethel was a loving wife, caring mother and special grandmother. Family was her life next to God. She was also a lifelong member of the Toler Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by five brothers, Lee Toler (1918-1934), Harding Toler (Deceased), Willard Martin Toler (1928-2003), Wilson H. "Junior" Toler Jr. (Deceased), Arnold M. Toler (1916-2001), and George Toler (1932-2010); and two sisters, Thelma Toler-Gibson (1912-Deceased), and Liza Toler-Adkins (Deceased).

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years John W. Cook (B. 1932) whom she married on September 17, 1955 in Hatcher, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1955, Page 25, Application Date: September 6, 1955); a daughter, Kim Toler-Cook and husband AJ Cook of Florence, SC; a son, Gary Cook of Cyclone; four grandchildren, Daniel and Parker Cook of Cyclone and Jordan and Connor Cook of Florence, SC; a sister Rosie Toler-Perry of Cyclone; a special great niece, Nancy Gibson of Cyclone; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday November 10, 2017 at the Toler Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Gibson, Rev. Valdus Bailey and Rev. Randall Bailey officiating. She will be laid to rest in Cook Cemetery, Cyclone, WV.
