Obituary of Irvin L. Allison
Irvin L. Allison, 57, of 1519 Werner Road, Hatfield, Montgomery County, a native of Martinsburg, died Monday, Nov. 24, 1986, at home, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Allison retired as lab technician from Merck, Sharp and Dohme of West Point, in May 1986, after 19 years of service.
A funeral with a mass of Christian burial was held Friday in the St. Marie Goretti Catholic Church, Hatfield.
Burial was in the St. John Neumann Cemetery, Warrington, Bucks County.
He was born Oct. 13, 1929, in Martinsburg, the son of James Harry and Hattie (Imler) Allison, and married Alverta Shaunessy.
Mr. Allison was a member of the Atomic Workers and Chemical Union of West Point. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of St. Marie Goretti Catholic Church, Hatfield.
Surviving are his wife and four children: Marian Kidd of Harleysville, Montgomery County; Marjorie Anderson of Norristown, Montgomery County; Jean of Nanuet, N. Y.; and Mark of Lanssale, Montgomery County; and three grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers and sisters: Chester and Harriet Detwiler of Martinsburg; J. Harding of Altoona; and Faith Turnbaugh of Hamburg, N. Y.
