Adele Agnes Charlotte Broberg, 80, of Kerkhoven, died Friday at Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home in Willmar.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Salem Covenant Church in rural Pennock. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Kerkhoven and for one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
She was born Jan. 10, 1929, in Claghorn, Iowa, to Gust and Emma Esterland. The family moved south of Kandiyohi where they farmed. She graduated from Willmar in 1947.
She married Lowell Broberg on Sept. 3, 1949. They lived and farmed in rural Kerkhoven. She worked as a proofreader for the West Central Tribune and later worked on the farm where she raised chickens and had an egg business. She also worked as a secretary for Hayes Insurance Co. in Kerkhoven.
She was a member of Salem Covenant Church in rural Pennock where she was active with the Christian Women, KIP study club and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband; son: Scott Broberg; daughter: Kandice (and Rick) Shrader.; son-in-law: Scott Vadman; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her daughter: Javon; and two brothers.
