Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 13th, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Burial, with military honors presented by Moline American Legion Post 246, will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 12th, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or to Boys Town.
Larry was born on December 11, 1937, the son of Archie and Martha Ringer Love. He was a graduate of Arcola High School, Arcola, Ill. and Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Chicago, Ill. He was a funeral director for 50 years.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran. During his military service, he was a hospitalman and FMF Corpsman with the 1st Marine Division.
Larry was a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, and an avid golfer and fisherman.
He adored his wife, Louise, his children, Michelle (Clint) and Michael (Michelle), and grandchildren, Hannah, Stella and Sophia Love, all of whom are left to honor his memory. Larry was preceded in death by a daughter Marie Louise. Larry was well loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends.
