Daniel Leslie Howard, 78, of Cuba, Mo. passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Rolla Phelps County Regional Medical Center.
Daniel was born in Owensville on February 16, 1939, to the late Leslie and Melva M. (Rehmert) Howard. On June 6, 1964, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Hermann he was united in marriage to Rosemary Frickie. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Owensville. He had served his country with the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Dalton Howard brothers, Donald, David and Delmer Howard; sister, Mildred Howard; brother-in-law, Ralph Jenkins; and niece, Dana Howard.
His survivors include his wife, Rosemary of the home; son, Dale Howard and wife Susan of Springfield; brother, James Howard and wife Sharon of Owensville; sisters, Laura Hinson and husband Ronald and Doris Jenkins both of Owensville; sister-in-law, Madgeline Howard of Owensville; granddaughter, Ashley Howard; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10 from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel with Rev. Dennis Spurgeon officiating. Burial in New Salem Baptist Cemetery.
