Norman George Watson, 83, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017.

Memorial Service: 2p.m. Wednesday, November 3rd at First Christian Church of Arlington.
Memorials: Norman's request is that memorial gifts be made to the Memorial Fund of First Christian Church.

Norman was born April 12, 1934 in Eastland, Texas to James and Margaret Watson (deceased). He married the "girl of his dreams," Eileen Vaughan Jan 29, 1956 and they enjoyed almost 62 years of marriage. The Watson family moved to Arlington in 1964 and immediately joined First Christian Church. Norman served FCC in the past 53 years on multiple committees and was an elder for many years.

Norman worked at Texas Electric (now TXU) for 45 years as an electrical engineer. He earned his Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from Arlington State College. Norman's joys in life were serving his church, camping and boating with his family, working with the Boy Scouts as a troop leader (attended the National Jamboree twice), volunteering for the Arlington Life Shelter, tinkering with cars, woodworking, and was an avid reader. He and Eileen enjoyed traveling together in retirement.

Norman was a man of deep faith who loved his God, his family and serving others. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors: Norman is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Eileen; children, Katherine McCollum, Keith Watson, Michael Watson (Debbie); grandchildren, Emily, Allison, Danielle, Sam, Jordan and Caira; and great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Piper.
