He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Watts, Augusta; wife, Shirley Watts, Statesboro; children, Eli (Kathy) Watts, Wrens, Cecelia Watts, Statesboro, and Michele Watts, Statesboro; sisters, Connie (Eddie) Lyle, Edgefield, SC, Chincilla (Larry) Watts, Augusta, and Shirley Cruz, Augusta; grandchildren, Joseph (J.T.) Watts, Statesboro, Brian Phillips, Jr., Statesboro, Brianna Watts, Hephzibah, and Jennifer Phillips, Edgefield, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
