Betty Jane Gordon, age 94, passed away on November 6, 2017 in Austin, TX. Betty is survived by her granddaughters, Sarah Newman of Austin, TX, Laura Gunter of Mammoth Lakes, CA, and Rachel Gunter of Austin, TX; her great-grandson Russell Newman and great-granddaughter Rosemary Newman, both of Austin, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gordon, and her daughter, Susan Gordon Gunter, both of North Little Rock, AR.

Betty was born on April 19, 1923 to parents Herbert Johnson and Maude Galbreath Johnson of St. James, Missouri. The wife of a veteran and mother of one lived in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas before moving to North Little Rock, AR where she lived for more than 30 years.

Betty was a member of Levy Baptist Church where she volunteered in the nursery on Sundays and studied with the Sunshine Class. Betty enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting, and watching Murder She Wrote. She was known by neighbors and friends for her kindness and generosity. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family above everything else.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.
