He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 69 years, Charlotte Fox in June 2017; siblings: Dean, Donald, Frank, Robert, Edward, Marion and Neil Fox, Janet Shaffer, Hazel Monroe and Eleanor Stewart.
He is survived by his children: Peggy (Ted) Wolf, of Xenia; Diane (David) White, of Xenia; Randall (Christina) Fox, of Beavercreek; 10 grandchildren: Aaron (Tara) Wolf, of Beavercreek; Kelly (Jason) Tomplait, of Pataskala, Kiel Wolf, of Atlanta, Georgia; Brian (Amanda) White, of Indiana; Andrew White, of Xenia; Michael White, of Xenia; Logan (Elizabeth)Fox, Hillary Fox, Chloe Fox and Creighton Fox, all of Beavercreek; great grandchildren: Aaron James "AJ" Wolf, Autumn, Elizabeth and David White, Marin Tomplait, Madelyn White, Gabriel Tomplait, Oliver Fox, Desmond Fox, and Dominic Fox; brother: William (Gladys) Fox of AZ; as well as other family members and a host of friends.
Gerald retired in 1990 from the US Post Office after 27 years of service. He had previously worked at Hammond-DriRite and had been a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. He was also a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War.

Graveside services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Middle Run Cemetery, with Chaplain Chad Vickers officiating.
