Wanda Sue Patterson passed from this life on November 4, 2017 at her home in Jonesville, LA, at the age of 69 following a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. Visitation will be at 6:00 pm Monday, 11/6/17, and funeral service Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Wallace Ridge Pentecostal Church, Jonesville, LA, with Rev. Curtis Spears and Rev. Todd Tucker officiating. Burial will be at White Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Jonesville, LA.

Sue was born Sept 5, 1948 in Campti, LA. She was a ray of sunshine wherever she went. She lived a full life rich with love for her family and everyone she met, infectious smiles, laughter and a deep abiding love and faith in her Lord. She was a faithful member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Shreveport prior to attending Wallace Ridge Pentecostal Church in Jonesville. She was an ever joyous, exuberant worshipper in church. She loved to garden and nurse plants back to live. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Franklin Myers, Sr. and Mary Lou Evans, two husbands, Carey Wayne Gentry and Michael Patterson, one son, Alvin Wayne Gentry and one grandchild, Carey Anthony, Jr.

She is survived by one son, Carey Anthony Gentry (Debbie), six grandchildren, Ethan Gentry (Kharliy), Dusty McCullough, Brandy Terry and Cash Calvin, Sierra Maxwell, and Rebecca Blandino; and three great grand children. She is also survived by 6 siblings, LaNora Post of Shreveport, LA, William Myers of Santa Clara, CA, Barbara Nichols (Jessie) of Coushatta, LA, Carolyn White (Kenneth) of Jonesville, LA, LaBrillia Johnson (Shelby) of Archibald, LA, Bonita Hathorne (Dr. Alfred) of Shreveport, LA, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be George David Nichols, Chris Huffman, Ethan Gentry, Kenny Ray White, Jr, Leon Davis and Paul Long. Honorary pallbearers are Connor Huffman and Hunter Gathright.
