Funeral services for Ronald D. “Big O” Oliver, 53, of Lufkin will be held November 9, 2017 in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Rocky Springs/Old Center Cemetery.
Mr. Oliver was born June 13, 1964 in Oakland, California to the late Ruby R. (Hood) and Hoy Oliver, and died Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his residence. He resided in Lufkin most of his life and was a supervisor at Pilgrim’s Pride for 12 years. Mr. Oliver enjoyed hunting, fishing and gambling. He loved his nieces and nephews. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jonell (Hayes) Oliver; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Jennifer Oliver; sisters and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jack Munn, Debbie Jones, and Denise Walters; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pam Carruth.
