Patricia (Pat) McGinty RN passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at Cottage in the Meadow.
She was born October 27, 1943 in Bellingham to Art & Norna Johnson. She grew up in Yakima. She attended school and graduated from Davis High School in 1961.
She continued her education at the University in Seattle receiving her degree in nursing as a registered nurse.
She returned to Yakima to work at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital working in the emergency room and continuing to the Orthopedic Ward.
She later worked in local nursing homes preferring to work with geriatric patients, becoming head nurse of her shift. She also did home nursing with disabled children and young adults.
Pat is survived by her husband Bud McGinty of Yakima, her stepchildren Trinette (Randy) Jensen of Caldwell, Idaho and Rob (Deb) McGinty of Yakima; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
There will be visitation on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Private Graveside Service will be held at West Hills Memorial Park.
