Alexis, April 20. - William Scott, an aged and highly respected citizen of Alexis, passed away at his home on Tuesday morning at nine o'clock after an illness of several months of Bright's disease. He leaves a wife and one daughter, besides numerous other relatives, to mourn his loss. Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday.

Alexis, April 22. - The funeral services of the late William Scott were held at the home on Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. J. T. Fulton, a former pastor of the Presbyterian church, but now at Red Wing, Minn., conducted the services, assisted by Rev. E. E. Davis, and the music was furnished by a quartet, composed of Mrs. L. N. Graham, Miss Lena Walters, W. M. Humphreys and A. J. Porter. Mr. Scott belonged to the Masonic lodge and the Masons all attended in a body, and had charge of the services. Interment was made in the Mt. Vernon cemetery.
