Added gender. 1) Original bio content as entered/written by the creator of the memorial is below the divider.~ Ronald Dean Lambert, 71, of Newcastle, died Saturday, November 4, 2017, at his home after a long and courageous fight with ALS/PLS. The son of George Cecil Lambert and Elois (Lorance) Lambert, he was born January 29, 1946, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Ron worked as a firefighter with the Oklahoma City Fire Department and retired after 25 years of service. He was a Baptist in faith and was a member of the Retired Firefighter's Association, Blanchard Secondhand Lions, Tri-City Cruisers, and the Chrysler 300 Club. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed going to car shows, traveling, shopping for antiques, and going to swap meets. Ron was a collector of many things and was a Presidential history buff. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Billy Ray Lambert, George Lynn Lambert, and Willis Joe Lambert; one sister, Fay Seibel; one grandchild; and five great grandchildren, including Noah Shivji.

Ron is survived by his two daughters, Ladeana Miller and her husband, Terry, of Oklahoma City, and Roni Michelle Howe and her husband, Richard, of Newcastle; eight grandchildren, Kayla Shivji and her husband, Shaun, of Virginia, Brandon Miller and his wife, Sydney, of Carney, Zac Russell of Virginia, Hannah Martinez and her husband, Daniel, of Newcastle, Samuel Miller of Oklahoma City, Alisa Howe of Oklahoma City, Richard Nellis of Newcastle, and Christopher Nellis of Illinois; two great grandchildren, Kira Shivji and Roran Shivji, and one more on the way, Samantha Martinez; three sisters, Rowena Curren of Blanchard, Charlene Curren of Blanchard, and Roxi Thomason of Oklahoma City; one brother, Tim Lambert and his wife, Gina, of Blanchard; his former wife, Janet Lancaster and her husband, Alan, of Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Southwest Baptist Church, 1300 Southwest 54th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73119. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
