Vincent Neil Parker, 90 years young, passed away in Meridian on November 2, 2017. Vince had a zest for life, he was loved by all. Even in his final days, he was making jokes.

He was born to James and Edna Parker on April 6, 1927 in Robinson, Kansas. In 1930 the family moved to New Plymouth, Idaho. Vince graduated from Fruitland High School in 1945. He joined the Navy after graduation, serving as a Seabee on the Island of Guam. He received an honorable discharge in 1947. Upon his return, he met and married Mary Tharp. He worked hard to take care of his family driving truck for Dawson Trucking and Bassford Trucking. They divorced in 1968. In 1970 he married Denne Chesney. He then worked for Owyhee Irrigation District. Denne passed away in 1983. After Denne passed, he married Jeanie Bennett and they were married until 1987. Vince retired from Owyhee Irrigation in 1988. They continued to call him back to help for several years. Vince spent the next 22 years with Donna Meyer, she passed in 2010.

Vince had an Indian Chief motorcycle and loved to ride. Vince also enjoyed bowling, golf, chukar hunting and fishing. He had his HAM radio license and would spend time talking to people all over the world. He later enjoyed camping in his travel trailer. In his retirement years, he enjoyed helping the neighbors with mowing on his fancy riding mower. He took great care of his yard, the birds and squirrels. There was never a squirrel without a nut. He spent his last several years of his life with his daughter Marci who he loved and cared for all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack and Harold. His wives, Mary and Denne and his friend, Donna.

He is survived by his daughter, Marci Palmer; grandchildren: Nicole Palmer Sigman (Jerry), Bryan Palmer (Jenna) and 9 great-grandchildren

Services with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 8th at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery 10100 N Horseshoe Bend Rd Boise, with Pastor Rod Tegethoff of the Church of Nazarene in New Plymouth officiating.
