Mrs. Laura Szymczak, 62, 2202 Kenwood Ave., died in her home at 3:10 a.m. today. Mrs. Szymczak had suffered from high blood pressure for the past two years.
She was born Nov.23, 1899, and had lived all her life in South Bend. As Laura Jaworski, she was married to Casimer J. Szymczak on May 14, 1919, in St. Hedwige's Catholic Church. He survives along with five sons, Chester, Walter, Eugene, Roman and Richard; three brothers, Andrew and Casimer Jaworski of South Bend and Edward Jaworski of North Liberty; one sister, Mrs. Theresa Lemanski of South Bend, and 13 grandchildren.
She had been a member of the Apostleship of Prayer at St. Stanislaus Church and the auxiliary of Pulaski Post 3557, American Legion.
