Alice Agnes Rusch, 96, of Goodhue, died on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at The Bluffs of Lake City.

She was born in Bellechester on June 18, 1921, to William and Eva (Liffrig) Nardinger. She lived her younger years in Bellechester and worked at the Red Wing Hospital. Alice was united in marriage to Walter Rusch on December 27th, 1941. They lived in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, but returned to make their home in Goodhue after the war. She was a homemaker for many years and was known for her good cooking and baking. She was a long time member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Goodhue, Holy Trinity CCW and taught First Grade Catechism Class around her kitchen table for many years. Later in life, she enjoyed waitressing at the former Deden’s Café in Goodhue. She liked to play cards and bingo, and enjoyed summer vacations at Northern Minnesota Resorts.

Alice is survived by her children, Ila (Paul) Kieffer of New Hampton, Iowa, Allen (Margaret) Rusch of Bagley, Eva (David) Diercks of Goodhue, Lauri (Scott) Johnson of Red Wing, and David (Rosie) Rusch of Prior Lake; grandchildren, Steven and Brian Kieffer, Kim Wehling, John Rusch, David Jr., Joe, Noah, and Mike Diercks, Mattie Boe, Anna and Nate Johnson, and Jason Rusch; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother Floyd (Arvilla) Nardinger of Lake City and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, on July 24th, 2001; four brothers, John, Walter, Wilmer and Lloyd Nardinger; three sisters, Viola Roemer, Evelyn Rusch, Janet Freiheit; infant sister, Adeline; infant brother, Florence; and grandsons, Nick and Max Diercks.

Mass of Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bellechester with Father Randal Kasel presiding. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red wing and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
