Sara along with her husband of 44 years, was shot and killed in the Sutherland First Baptist Church shooting that left 26 dead and 20 injured.

Sara Louise Johns Johnson, born February 25th of 1949 in Jasper, Florida, was a member of the Sutherland First Baptist congregation for more than a decade, a prior member of Floresville First Baptist Church for 25 years, she was a devoted mother and a loving grandmother and a volunteer in a church nursery for over 30 years. She also held a position with the Wilson County Tax Office for over 10 years; however, she was more recently employed with the locally-owned, Floresville business, Pfeil's Home and Garden.

Dennis and Sara celebrated 44 years of marriage on July 27th. They are survived by their children: James Graham, age 51; Neil Johnson Jr., age 50; Deanna Graham Staton, age 46 (husband Arron); Michael Johnson, age 43; Kati Wall (Deanna's daughter), age 29 (husband Jason); Ryan Johnson, age 28, several beloved grandchildren, and were expecting 4 great-grand children.

•Visitation: Sunday, Nov. 12, from 2 p.m., First Baptist Church, Floresville

•Funeral service: Sunday, 3 p.m., in the church

•Services entrusted to: First Baptist Church, Floresville, 830-216-4946
