From The Salt Lake Tribune (Salt Lake City, UT) - March 28, 2004:

Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister returned home Wednesday, March 24th after sharing a lifetime of love, strength and devotion with her family and friends. Her passing came peacefully with the family she loved at her side; she touched the hearts of all that knew her.

Rosanna was born January 14th, 1924 in Salt Lake City to Lucille and John Conyers. At a young age she married Merrill Hambleton (deceased) and was blessed with three sons and two daughters. She later married Derald Pitts (deceased) and again was blessed with two sons. She dedicated her life to raising her children Robert Hambleton, Richard Hambleton, Steven (Kookie) Hambleton, Leslie Hambleton, Carole Lee Hambleton, Derald (Tobie) Pitts and Jeffrey (Lisa) Pitts. Before her passing she enjoyed 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She had a wonderful relationship with her sisters, Elaine Van Dam, who was her closest friend throughout life, Jane "Doll" (Harv) Bergen and Jan George.

She enjoyed family parties, music, and travel, playing cards with family and friends and following college basketball. She always wanted what was best for her children and worked diligently throughout her life to provide a loving home for everyone to come back to. She will be missed terribly by all that knew her, none more than her son Steven and daughter Carole Lee who cared for and supported her every day the last years of her life. She lost her beloved daughter, Leslie, at a very young age and never stopped missing her; she is once again with Leslie and her beloved mother, Lucille. The family would like to thank all who loved and cared for Rosanna throughout her life, she will be missed but never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 29th, 2004 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland drive, SLC, UT.
