Ellen Voss, 84, of Spearfish died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at her residence at Edgewood Vista in Spearfish.
Ellen was born May 7, 1922 in Lincoln, NE to Leon and Netta (Rust) Knight. She grew up in Lincoln, NE where she attended school, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1941. Ellen worked at a department store in Lincoln, NE following high school.
She married Richard M. Voss, April 6, 1942 in Lincoln, NE then moved to Garden City, KS for a time. They lived in Rapid City from 1961 until 1999 when they moved to Spearfish.
She was active in several bridge clubs. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rapid City.
Ellen is survived by her son,2 grandchildren, her brother,her 4 nephews,2 nieces and numerous friends and neighbors in the Rapid City area and special lifetime friend from childhood, W.Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2004, and a sister Margaret Ann George.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the Edgewood Vista Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Hospice of the Northern Hills. The Aldinger Funeral Home of Spearfish has been entrusted with the arrangements.
