CINCINNATI: WANDA IRENE (KEMPTON) FISHER, passed away at home, November 1, 2017, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she resided with her daughter.

She was a fraternal twin born March 23, 1926 in Edison, Ohio, the daughter of Eva G. (Pinder) Jones and Burnie B. Kempton.

She married Frank H. Fisher on May 14, 1947 and cherished her best friend and husband for 47 years until his death in 1994.

With their union, they had one daughter, Teresa K. (Fisher) Snavely; one grandson, Joseph (Sharon) Todd-Fisher Snavely; three great-grandchildren: John Thomas-Fisher Snavely, Joseph Micah Snavely, and Sofia Grace Snavely who all reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She is also survived by sister-in-law, Margie D. Lamb of Eustis, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; twin sister, Warda I. Cunningham; sister, Freda M. Struble and brother, Dewey C. Kempton.

Her early years were spent in Chesterville, and she took great pride in graduating Chesterville High School with the Class of 1945; her high school years were the years of World War II. She was the school paper artist and was first chair trumpet in band and orchestra. Her class members remained close and supportive of one another over the years. She also lived in Morrow County, Richland County (Lexington) for 35 years and the past ten years in Hamilton County.

She loved gardening, art, homemaking, American History, politics and was an avid OSU basketball and football fan. She adored her grandchildren.

An intimate service with family was held in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to either/or Bethany School, 555 Albion Avenue, Glendale, Ohio, 45246, where her grandson is chaplain and her great-grandchildren are students or the Disabled American Veteran Service Charitable Trust Fund, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, Kentucky, 41076.
