Connie Ann Blake, 68, of Rochester, passed away on November 3, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, following a lengthy illness.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
Funeral services will following the visitation at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Inurnment will be in the Rochester Cemetery, Rochester, Iowa.
Connie Ann Moore was born November 17, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Douglas and Maxine (Rushford) Moore. She graduated from Tipton High School, with the class of 1967. She attended A.I.C., where she received her Associates Degree. She married Larry Blake on August 30, 1969, in Tipton. The couple resided in rural Rochester, where they raised their two sons, Shane and Shannon. She was a homemaker and was also employed by several local businesses for several years. She never met a stranger, and she opened their home and her heart to just about anyone. She will be missed by many, but never forgotten.
Surviving are her husband, Larry; two sons, Shane (Stacy) Blake of Bloomfield, and Shannon (Bridgett Berg) Blake of Kalona; seven grandchildren, Kayla (Alex) Wink, Kyle, Kally, Katy, Khloe, Braxton and Lyla Blake; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Wink and Claire Blake; and one sister, Cathy Niedorf of Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
