Benson, Kerman J. age 85, of Victoria, MN former long time resident of Tonka Bay. Passed away on 1/13/15 at the Glenn in Minnetonka surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Mamie; brother, Robert Jr.; and nephews, James and Michael. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Ardyce; cat Kiki; three daughters, Wendy (William) Roser, Laurie Benson, and Debra (Mark) Erickson; grandchildren, Brad, Katie, Luanne, Leah, Chad, Christa; sister, Corrine (Jim) Hamre; brothers, Ardell (Arlene) and Vernon (Becky); sister-in-law, Phyllis Benson; nephews, nieces, many other relatives and friends.

Kerm was born and raised on the farm in Clarkfield, MN and graduated from Augsburg College. He worked for Minneapolis Moline, Minnegasco, and as Assessor for the South Lake area cities. Kerm finished his career as a Commercial Appraiser for Hennepin County. He served as a volunteer firefighter for Excelsior Fire Department for 15 years. He was an active member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church serving in many positions of leadership since 1957.

Memorial service Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at 11 AM at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 301 County Rd 19, Excelsior. A gathering of family & friends will take place for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Mt.
