Barbara J. (Flege) Ingraham, 73, of Newton passed on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, after a lengthy battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M., Thursday, August 21, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 1:30 P.M., until the time of service. Memorials to the cancer center at Skiff Medical Center may be left at the funeral home. Barbara was born and attended school in Waverly, until the age of 10, when her family moved to Newton, where she finished her education. She was employed at Skiff Medical Center, Hammer Medical Supply, and Wal-Mart, retiring in July 29, 2010. She is survived by her four sons, Dennis R. (Joanna) Breckenridge of Newton, Randall J. Breckenridge of Newton, Ryan S. (Robin) Breckenridge of Wykoff, Minnesota, and Bruce Ingraham of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Debra S. Scott of Newton and Joan R. Breckenridge of Des Moines; her 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis Ingraham; granddaughter, Tera Breckenridge; and a sister, Carol Dietrick.
